Good Evening Citizens of Treasure Falls, 

What a weekend! Not only has the Quest Kids campaign been on a fantastic roll, but I got to spend the weekend playing The Quest Kids with tons of families at Fandemic Tour Houston. I even got to play with a couple of brothers you may recognize (pictured above)!

In this update I'll quickly discuss the unlocked fourth stretch goal, our Campaign Mode progress, an update on our character vote and where we stand on our Social Goals. Let's get to it!

4TH STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED

This goal didn't last long! I added the goal on Friday and it was met on Saturday. We will upgrade all of the cards in the game to 350 GSM card stock. Great job.

5TH STRETCH GOAL UPDATE

 At the moment I am writing this we are only about 7 backers away from unlocking the entire first campaign for The Quest Kids! I am THRILLED that this ongoing adventure will be included with each and every game that we ship to Kickstarter backers. Witnessing the twists and turns of this campaign with young players has been a blast and I can't wait for you to experience it with your little heroes. 

SPIDERS VS. TROLLS VOTING UPDATE

If you read this right when I send it you'll have about 2 hours to vote in our third new character vote: Spiders vs. Trolls. Here is where the voting stands right now:

SPIDERS: 30 votes

TROLLS: 43 votes

So, unless there is a sudden surge of late night Spider voters it looks like three new Trolls will be joining our new Dragon and Pirate characters.

Social Stretch Goal Update

We only need 14 more YouTube subscribers to unlock the TINK ally card, 52 more Board Game Geek fans to unlock the TREASURE FALLS GHOST ally card and 88 more Facebook post shares to unlock the HOT FOOT ally card! Click the links below and let's knock these out!

Third Stretch Goal Unlocked: Trolls or Spiders???

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls,

We all know a Quest Kids quest is never done, and it certainly appears we are not close to done unlocking stretch goals! We just hit the $23,000 mark, which means we will add THREE MORE new bad guy character designs to the game. This time you must decide between SPIDERS or TROLLS. 

HOW TO VOTE

Voting will work just like the last vote. Simply post a comment ON THE MAIN CAMPAIGN COMMENT SECTION with "SPIDERS!" or "TROLLS!". If you place your vote in the comments of this update your vote will still count, but I'd greatly appreciate you posting it in the main comments HERE. This helps our ranking on Kickstarter and on Kicktraq. Thanks!

Also, just like the previous two votes we will count your vote twice if you give a suggestion for a new Spider or Troll character with your vote! We will tally up the votes on Sunday night at Midnight (10/20). I'll provide some more info on the Spiders and Trolls of Treasure Falls a little bit further down in this update.

STRETCH GOAL #2 UPDATE

Remember, you still have until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (Friday, 10/18) to vote for DRAGONS or STONE GOLEMS for Stretch Goal #2. Place your vote on the main comment section HERE. 

NEW STRETCH GOAL ADDED!

There was a bit of a cushion between the $23K Stretch Goal (Spiders or Trolls) and the BIG goal of $28K to unlock the entire first campaign mode, so we decided to add in a component upgrade. If we hit $25K we will upgrade the quality of all of the 150+ cards in the game! 

THE SPIDERS AND TROLLS OF TREASURE FALLS

The Spiders and Trolls of Treasure Falls are obviously quite different in appearance, but very similar in behavior. They both live within the Caves of Treasure Falls (including Tolk's Cave). They are both always plotting and scheming to steal treasure, take over the castle or cause other forms of mischief. And they both are constantly thwarted by The Quest Kids. 

One difference would be their allies. The Spiders tend to team up with the Snakes of Treasure Falls, while the Trolls enjoy wreaking havoc with the Bears of Treasure Falls.  

There is currently one spider (Legs) and one troll (Double Tooth) already in the game. You can get a closer look at them below. 

FIVE DAYS TO GO!

We are nearing the end of our journey - the campaign ends NEXT WEDNESDAY at 9PM! We have some great momentum (the last 3 days have been our best days since the first week) and I'd love to keep it going. We are over 500 backers strong! Second Stretch Goal Unlocked: Stone Golems or Dragons???

Good Afternoon Citizens of Treasure Falls, 

I know this is the second update in a short amount of time and I truly apologize for blowing up your inbox/phone alerts. However, we just journeyed past $20K and unlocked our second stretch goal! That means we are going to add three new STONE GOLEMS or three new DRAGONS to The Quest Kids. 

HOW TO VOTE

THE DRAGONS OF SPIRIT VALLEY

Spirit Valley is a valley that connects the Kingdom of Treasure Falls to the dangerous mountains that loom above the kingdom. All manor of magical creatures live in the valley, however the dragons are towards the top of the food chain. Traditionally the Dragons of Spirit Valley have been adversaries of the Quest Kids and Treasure Falls, however there are a few dragons who fight on the side of truth and honor. 

Cinder and Ash (pictured above in the stretch goal graphic) are already in the game, however here is a rough work-in-progress sketch of what their big brother may look like:

THE STONE GOLEMS OF TOLK'S CAVE

Not much is known about the stone creatures that live deep within Tolk's Cave, but a few things are clear. It is clear they are magical, for their stones often glow brightly in the darkness. It is clear the cave is their home, for they have been seen emerging from the very walls. And it is clear that if you attempt to stop them from taking treasure they will not be happy.

There are not currently any Stone Golems in the game, however below is a rough sketch of what one may look like (they will be made up of colorful stones):

SOCIAL STRETCH GOAL UPDATE & NEXT CHARACTER VOTE

If you will oblige me I'd like to quickly share a few numbers:

• Current number of The Quest Kids backers: 436 
• Additional YouTube subscribers needed to unlock the TINK ally card: 60 (17% of remaining backers!) 
• Additional Board Game Geek fans needed to unlock the TREASURE FALLS GHOST ally card: 51 (20% of remaining backers!) 
• Additional Facebook post shares needed to unlock the HOT FOOT ally card: 100 (26% of remaining backers!)

Stretch Goal Voting Results: Arrrrrrrre you ready for more pirates?

Good Evening Citizens of Treasure Falls, 

I hope you had a terrific Monday! I have three quick things to share with you tonight, so let's get right to it. 

FIRST STRETCH GOAL VOTING RESULTS

It's a pirate's life for us! The silly swashbucklers won the voting over the laid back bears by a fairly narrow margin (54% Pirates vs. 46% Bears). Since the voting was so close one of the three new pirate characters will be the backer suggested mash-up of a bear who was raised by pirates! We had a tremendous response on this vote and thanks for all of the creative character suggestions. 

We'll get Apolline started on these designs ASAP and share her progress in a future update.

Don't look now, but we are less than 10 backers away from unlocking Stretch Goal #2. Voting will work the same way as before, so start brainstorming ideas for new dragon or stone golem characters now.

NEW REVIEW FROM THE HUNGRY GAMER

Positive reviews continue to roll in for The Quest Kids and the latest video comes from The Hungry Gamer. He claims "if you have kids who like fantasy and you enjoy playing dungeon crawlers I think this is a can't miss. Across the board it is really well done." Check out the whole video below:

New Quest Kids Figures & Pledge Level Available Now!

Happy Friday Citizens of Treasure Falls,

Before the weekend I have exciting news to share. I'd like to introduce our new oversized Quest Kids hero miniatures, which you can add to your pledge now! 

We have been working hard with our sculptor and manufacturer over the past couple of weeks to create miniatures that encompass the component qualities we require (high-quality, huge and colorful) and that we can offer to our backers right now (vs. waiting to reach a specific goal before making them available).

These hero figures are finely detailed, uniquely colored and GIGANTIC! Most miniature games have a scale of 28mm to 35mm. The Quest Kids figures are 75mm! Take a look:

PRICING:

A set of four Quest Kids figures can be added to any pledge as an add-on item for $10. 

However, we have also created a new "Deluxe All-In" pledge level that includes the figures for $52. That means if you already have a "Base Game All-In" pledge for $44 you can upgrade to the "Deluxe All-In" level for only an additional $8. 

Here's what is included in the new "Deluxe All-In" pledge level: 

HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR PLEDGE:

Upgrading your pledge is pretty straight-forward. First make sure you are logged in to your Kickstarter account and then visit the main page for The Quest Kids campaign (LINK HERE). Now, here are the four quick steps:

• Click the green MANAGE YOUR PLEDGE button at the top right of the page.

• Click the blue CHANGE YOUR PLEDGE in the middle of the page.

• Scroll until you find the new DELUXE ALL-IN pledge level. Select your new reward and then hit the green CONTINUE button. 

• Confirm your awesome decision to get Quest Kids figures! 

WHAT ABOUT THE ARTICULATED, FULLY PAINTED FIGURES?

I would absolutely love to produce the articulated, fully painted figures! However, the need to hit $70,000 in funding hasn't changed. The figures that we launched today will ensure that backers have the opportunity to experience The Quest Kids with high-quality figures.
