Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls,
I hope all is well in your part of the kingdom. It blows me away that The Quest Kids has now been delivered to over 1,000 backers across the world and the feedback has been very positive.
Speaking of feedback, Tom Vasel of The Dice Tower recently posted his thoughtful, touching and very positive review of The Quest Kids. Tom and The Dice Tower have had the biggest impact on my love for this hobby. I have watched and listened to them review games for over a decade, and it is truly amazing that Tom had such a great experience playing our game with his son. Check out his review!
REMAINING ISSUES
The missing parts requests and missing shipment emails have slowed considerably over the past couple of weeks. However, if you do have any parts or shipping issues certainly please let me know. I am going to paste the contact instructions and FAQ from my last update below.
WHAT'S NEXT?
This has been an incredible experience. It has taken over 2 years to bring my vision of a fantasy game that young kids could enjoy with their parents to the table and I am absolutely thrilled by the way people are reacting to the game. It makes me want to do it all over again ;)
We are in the beginning stages of a new Quest Kids adventure and will be in touch about that expansion in the coming months. We will also have some Quest Kids related products coming very soon.

I Don't have my game and have not received a shipping email! What gives?
I am not sure what gives, but I will most certainly help you figure it out. Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject "SHIPPING ISSUE - YOUR NAME" and with your backer info in the email. We will resolve the situation ASAP.
I have my game, but a part is broken! What do I do?
That is a serious bummer, but we have a solution. Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject "BROKEN COMPONENT - YOUR NAME" and with a picture of the broken component in the email. We are using Spiral Galaxy and Quartermaster Logistics to send out replacement parts. If you have already contacted me about a missing or broken piece you do not need to email me again (your replacement piece is already being processed).
My family LOVES this game! How can we tell more people about it?

Finally, here are a few more answers to some common questions I have been receiving:
If you open your game box and do not see any miniatures the most likely reason is that you backed at the Base Game or Base Game All-In Pledge Level. Please take a look at your pledge on Kickstarter to confirm. If you did back at the Deluxe All-In level and do not have any miniatures that is certainly an issue we will help you resolve ASAP.
There was a mistake during production with the printing of one of the KIND KID CARDS. There is one Kind Kid Card that simply has a HEALTH icon on the back. You can treat this card as a +1 HEALTH Kind Kid Card or simply remove it from the game. Sorry about that!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. As of this writing all pledges have been shipped and I have already received many stories of families all over the world enjoying their games! I sincerely thank you again for your patience during this process.
Now, I am sure some of you have questions/concerns/issues, so let me try to address a few likely situations:

Quick Shipping Update + Game Resources!

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls,
All is well and on schedule in our quest to ship The Quest Kids throughout the kingdom. I will give a brief update based on region and then provide some links that may prove useful once you finally get our game on the table.
SHIPPING UPDATES:
USA:
Quartermaster Logistics has informed me that they will be able to begin fulfillment today (Friday, 3/5)! You will receive an email from QML with a subject line saying "Your order has shipped!" once a tracking number has been created for your order in their system. Please note the tracking number may take up to 24 hours after you receive this email to become active in the FedEx system.
CANADA:
We are still on track to begin shipping to Canada backers around Monday, 3/15.
UK/EUROPE:
I have already heard from a few backers that they received their address confirmation email today. Be on the look out for this email and please reach out if you have not received it by the EOD Saturday, 3/6. It is also looking like Spiral Galaxy will be able to begin shipping their games a day earlier than originally planned, which means they will begin fulfillment on Monday, 3/8!
ASIA/AUSTRALIA:
VFI (Asia) and Aetherworks (Australia) are on schedule to begin fulfilling their games next week.
GAME RESOURCES
As I have mentioned in previous updates we have worked very hard to make playing The Quest Kids as streamlined and simple as possible. I know the attention spans of young kiddos is not always fantastic, so spending less time reading a rule book and more time gaming is key.
There are printed rules and campaign guides included with your games, but here are all of the online resources we have put together to help you prepare for your first play of The Quest Kids and The Trials of Tolk the Wise Adventure Campaign.
We have created a series of blogs and videos explaining how to setup The Trials of Tolk the Wise campaign and each specific quest. While playing through The Trials of Tolk the Wise you will come across QR codes which take you to these resources, however I'll link to them below as well:
I'd also love for people to use these blogs as a place to leave questions or feedback. We will be monitoring the comments and are ready to respond to feedback or clear up any confusion.

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls,
I hope all is well in your part of the kingdom. I apologize for my recent delay in posting updates and responding to comments. I live in Houston, TX and my family and I were greatly impacted by the recent arctic blast and subsequent issues. The short story is we didn't have power for 100+ hours, water for longer than that and had 40 degree temperatures inside our house with three young kiddos. The situation was less than ideal and it prevented me from finalizing some details needed to begin the shipping process.
However, water and power have been restored and the fulfillment details have bee finalized! Here's what to expect based on your location:
USA
All backers in the United States should have already received a shipping confirmation email from Quartermaster Logistics. The team at QML will begin shipping USA orders on Monday, 3/8.
CANADA
All backers in Canada should have already received a shipping confirmation email from Quartermaster Logistics. It will take a bit longer for QML to get the games to Canada, however shipping of Canadian orders will begin around Monday, 3/15.
UNITED KINGDOM andEUROPE
All bakers in the UK and Europe should get an address confirmation email from Spiral Galaxy on Friday, 3/5. Shipping will then begin on Tuesday, 3/9.
ASIA and AUSTRALIA
I am still trying to get confirmation on if address confirmation emails have been sent (and if they haven't when they will be sent). However, Aetherworks (Australia) and VFI (Asia) will begin shipping around Monday, 3/15 (if not sooner).
REST OF THE WORLD
Spiral Galaxy is also handling fulfillment to orders in the rest of the world. If you live in a country not covered above you should also expect an address confirmation email on Friday, 3/5 and for shipping to start on Tuesday, 3/9.
Thanks again for your continued and lengthy support of this project. We have had many massive trials threaten our journey, but I am absolutely elated that these games will finally be enjoyed by families across the world in the coming weeks.

Very Quick Fulfillment Update

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls,
I hope all is well in your part of the kingdom. I wanted to reach out this week with a quick status update on our fulfillment schedule.
UK/EU
The games have made it through customs and are on a truck headed to Spiral Galaxy! They will arrive tomorrow (Thursday, 2/4). Once they arrive it will take a bit of time to unload and organize the games. Next week I will have an exact time table of when they will begin shipping, but generally speaking they will ship very soon!
USA
The games will arrive in the port of Miami tomorrow (Thursday, 2/4). It will take a few days for them to clear customs and then a few more days for them to make their way from Miami to Quartermaster Logistics in the Orlando area. My freight forwarder cannot provide an exact ETA of when they will arrive at Quartermaster, but generally speaking it will also be very soon!
I am sorry I cannot provide exact days of when games will begin to be fulfilled, but we are in the final final stretch now. I will be in touch next week with an ETA of when we will begin fulfilling UK/EU orders and when the USA games will arrive at Quartermaster.
