The Quest Kids Backerkit Surveys are on their way!

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls!

I know it has been a few days since my last update, however my return brings a very important quest that all of you must complete. Soon, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we must have this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items or change your reward level if you like. 

You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email! I will provide an update here when all of the surveys have been sent and provide assistance to anyone who is missing the email. All surveys should be sent by Sunday, 11/10. 

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys to get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://the-quest-kids.backerkit.com

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://the-quest-kids.backerkit.com/faq

Do I *Really* Need to Go to BackerKit?
 Yes! All Backers must complete the BackerKit survey to confirm your address and pay for shipping. 

What If I Included extra funds for Add-Ons?
If you pledged extra funds for Add-Ons, you will find a credit in your BackerKit account. As you go through the survey process, you will be able to use this credit towards Add-On items.

Can I Upgrade My Pledge Level or Purchase Add-Ons?
Yes, you can upgrade your pledge level or purchase Add-Ons! To change your pledge level select the blue "switch your pledge level" link located on the first page of the survey (pictured below). 

BackerKit FAQ

1. It is late November 2019 and I didn’t get my BackerKit email invite. What do I do? 

The easiest thing to do is resend your invite to yourself! Just go here: https://the-quest-kids.backerkit.com,  enter your Kickstarter email address, and click on the "Get My Survey" button. You will be sent a new email with a link to your  account. Please remember: all surveys will not be sent until Sunday, 11/10. 

2. I forgot my BackerKit password. How do I get it? 

Just go here: https://the-quest-kids.backerkit.com,  enter your Kickstarter email address, and click on the "Get  My Survey" button. You will be sent a new email with a link to your  account.

3. I want to sign back into https://the-quest-kids.backerkit.com, but I don’t remember the email I used for my account. How do I get it? 

It should be your Kickstarter account email. If that doesn’t work, please email [email protected] and they will help you.

4. I have a question about BackerKit that isn’t covered here. What do I do? 

Head over to https://www.backerkit.com/faq_backer, or email the team directly at [email protected]. They’re happy to help!

5. Why do I have to use BackerKit again?  

The BackerKit folks are experts in streamlining the process of  delivering crowd-funded rewards. Using their service allows our team to  maintain focus on making a great game.

In addition to getting the Backerkit survey ready to go, we have obviously been working hard on The Quest Kids. Our artist Apolline has been working on the first group of new characters (I'll have something to share soon) and I have been finalizing the Trials of Tolk the Wise campaign and coordinating with our manufacturers  regarding all of the new content we added via stretch goals.

 Good Morning Adventurers of Treasure Falls!

Wow! What a final day of our adventure. We ended our journey with 867 heroes in our party from 38 different countries! We achieved 250% of our goal, which allows us to add 18 NEW CHARACTERS to the game AND unlock the entire "The Trials of Tolk the Wise" campaign. 

The purpose of our quest was to create a high-quality fantasy game for families to enjoy together and because of your belief and support we have succeeded. Thank you!

My promise now is to create the best version of The Quest Kids that I possibly can and to continue to communicate important milestones openly and frequently during the production process. I will keep you updated on our progress through updates to this project and on our Facebook Fan Page. Also, if you have any questions or issues please feel free to email me at [email protected]. 

I'll send an update in the next 10 days focused on our pledge manager timing and plans. The pledge manager is the process that will allow you to finalize your order and potentially add items to your pledge.

Final 11 Hours: Snakes Win, 2nd Ally Card Unlocked & Final Goal!

Good Morning Citizens of Treasure Falls,

The final day of our quest is upon us! By night's end we will bask in the warmth of a fire and tell tales of an adventure complete. However, the sun is just rising on this final day and there is still much to do!

FINAL NEW BAD GUY VOTING RESULTS

In our final vote the Smart Snakes of Treasure Falls beat the Goblins by an almost 2 to 1 ratio. Congrats snake lovers! Thank you to everyone for voting in all of the polls over the past few weeks. We will share progress on these brand new characters very soon! 

2ND ALLY CARD UNLOCKED

We only need three more shares of the Facebook post pinned to the top of the Treasure Falls Games page, so I went ahead and unlocked our 2nd friend of The Quest Kids: The Captain of the King's Guard named Hot Foot! I'll provide more info on Hot Foot and Tink and how they factor into gameplay in an update in the coming weeks. 

We only have one Quest Kids Ally Card left to unlock: the Treasure Falls Ghost! To unlock this friendly spirit we need 11 more people to click the red heart on The Quest Kids Board Game Geek page. I know we can do it! 

FINAL TWO STRETCH GOALS

Our next stretch goal is for $35,000, which I am very confident we will achieve (we only need about 13 more backers). When we hit this goal we will add three new bear characters to the game! This will bring the total number of new characters added via stretch goals to 17! 

However, there is still one last mountain top looming. $40,000. If we can achieve this milestone we will add a 6th quest to the Trials of Tolk the Wise campaign. And let's just say this final quest is not like the others. 

Here's how you can help us reach this goal:

• Let people know about the project one last time on social media. 
• Consider upgrading your pledge to include the Quest Kids miniatures. Here's more info on how to make that happen.
• If you are currently a $1 Kind Kid backer consider upgrading your pledge now (vs. waiting for the Pledge Manager).

Quick Update: Sixth Stretch Goal Unlocked! Goblins or Snakes???

Good Morning Citizens of Treasure Falls, 

I know I have sent a lot of updates recently, so I will make this one both brief and celebratory. We've unlocked our 6th stretch goal, which brings us to our final New Bad Guys vote. Based on your votes we will add three new GOBLIN or SNAKE characters to the game. 

HOW TO VOTE

Voting will work just like the previous votes. Simply post a comment ON THE MAIN CAMPAIGN COMMENT SECTION with "GOBLINS!" or "SNAKES!". If you place your vote in the comments of this update your vote will still count, but I'd greatly appreciate you posting it in the main comments HERE. This helps our ranking on Kickstarter and on Kicktraq. Thanks!

Also, just like our other votes we will count your vote twice if you give a suggestion for a fun new Goblin or Snake character with your vote! 

Since time is running out the voting window will be small. We will tally up the votes at MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (Tuesday, 10/22)! Get your votes in now!

The Goblins of Treasure Falls

There are currently four goblin characters in The Quest Kids game. The Goblin King is one of the big baddies during your adventure and his Goblin Girls minions are a mischievous, but good natured group of goblins.

The Snakes of Treasure Falls

The snakes of Treasure Falls are The Quest Kids smartest adversaries. They scheme, they plot and they seem to always find a way to escape capture with at least part of their mission accomplished. Also, if three more "smart snake" characters are added to the crew they will be brightly colored and as fun as snakes can be (I am not a fan of scary snakes in real life or in board games). 

Sly (pictured below) is currently the only snake in the game.

Final 48 Hours!!! Campaign & Social Stretch Goals Unlocked!

Greetings Citizens of Treasure Falls, 

First, I'd like to welcome all of the new adventurers that have joined our journey over the last couple of days! Thank you for lending your swords, bows and wands to our quest to create a family-friendly fantasy adventure board game! 

I have a lot of exciting things to report, but the most noteworthy by far is detailed in the graphic at the top of this update. We unlocked the entire first campaign for The Quest Kids! "The Trials of Tolk the Wise" contains 5 unique quest scenarios, sealed envelopes, new bad guys, new heroes, new card types, new game mechanics and more! I can't wait to get this campaign to all of you so you can get it to the table with the little heroes in your life.  

There's more good news from the streets of Treasure Falls: we've completed the first of our three Social Stretch Goals! Since we hit 1,600 subscribers on The Quest Kids YouTube channel Tink the Town Merchant has been unlocked as an ally card!

Plus, we only need 48 more fans on Board Game Geek to unlock the Treasure Falls Ghost ally card. 

Lastly, the third and final social stretch goal (sharing our original Facebook post) was looking like it was not going to be met. So, I have decided to change things up a bit. There is a NEW POST PINNED to our Facebook page that has an updated graphic. If we share this new post 100 times we will unlock the Hot Foot ally card...and guess what? It has already been shared 60 times! That means we only need 40 backers to share this new post to unlock the Captain of the King's Guard himself! 

THREE NEW STRETCH GOALS ADDED:

I have added three new stretch goals to strive for over the last 48 hours of the campaign. First up will be our final Bad Guy Vote at $31K: Goblins vs. Snakes! I'll provide more info about both of these groups in a future update.

So far we have had three Bad Guy Votes and the closest race by far was Bears vs. Pirates. The Silly Pirates barely (ha) pulled out the victory. So, considering that almost half the backers wanted additional bear characters and that Chompy the Bear (pictured above) is my personal favorite bad guy we'll add three additional bear characters to the game if we reach $35,000. 

$40,000 in funding would be a huge achievement for The Quest Kids, so I wanted to add a stretch goal worthy of such a milestone. If we hit $40K we'll add a 6th quest to the "Trials of Tolk the Wise" campaign! The graphic above is vague by design. I really don't want to spoil the surprises and unique elements included in "A Quest to New Worlds." What I will say is I REALLY would like to hit $40k so I can create this quest and share it with all of our wonderful backers. 

TROLLS VS. SPIDERS VOTING RESULTS:

There actually was a surge in spider votes late last night, however the Trolls still stomped their way to victory. I can't wait to have Apolline begin work on all of these new Trolls, Dragons, and Pirate characters.
